Assessment
The Intermediate Assessment
Requirement is for you to be able to locate and treat (therefore know the
functions, uses and contraindications) by tonification or
dispersal/sedation the required Tsubos including Bo and Yu points
To demonstrate knowledge and present treatment notes describing application of theories and concepts to individual conditions
For Advanced Assessment the requirement is to be able to
- Explain the concepts of Yin and Yang, Five Elements,
- Draw conclusions justifying the relevance of theoretical frameworks to the safe and appropriate delivery of Shiatsu
- Evaluate the relationship between Meridians and Organs relevant to the safe and appropriate delivery of Shiatsu
- Demonstrate clear overall understanding of applications of relevant Oriental medical theory to western anatomy, physiology and pathology
- Explain relationship between western and Oriental frameworks
- Interpret Meridian theory in the context of Shiatsu
- Present case studies and treatment notes demonstrating application of theories and concepts to individual cases and conditions
